A Mothers’ Day Tribute

Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household,
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her happy.

~Proverbs 31:25-28, NRSV

It’s that time of year again when we pause to honor the women who have sacrificed so much on our account—not to mention giving birth and making possible our very lives.

And so, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to those strong, dignified, jovial, kind, devoted, hard-working women in my life. To my wife, Gabrielle, my mom, Joy, and my mother-in-law, Lorelle–God’s blessings and thank you.

When I consider God’s faithfulness, beauty, and mercy in my life and home today, indeed, the credit goes to you. And his goodness is sure . . .

Our happiness this day is because of everything you have given on our behalf. None of it would be a reality without you!
